Harmful ads:
Slide 2:
Harmful because shows children smoking, which is bad because children could watch it and think it is okay to smoke at that age.

Slide 3:
It is irresponsible because it condones young people playing with fireworks freely. Promotes danger.

"No added sugar"
Promotes children putting a plastic bad over their head, encourages children to copy it which can lead to their own physical harm.

"Puma AG"
Promoting antisocial behaviour because he's vandalising property and your own possessions. They are looking at the athlete on the advert as a role model, and buy portraying him in an anti-social way can influence children, however was not removed as it is light-hearted.

"Drop dead clothing"

The model pictured looks unhealthily underweight, was removed as it can encourage people to become that skinny, which is borderline Anorexia. It is representative of people that wear the brand, and children may aspire to look like that.

Misleading ads:


Kelloggs:

It is misleading because people said that they were implying that it is healthy when infact was quite an unhealthy, sugary biscuit. They were not using the right language to truthfully tell us what was in the cookies.

"Cheat death":

23 people complained that this ad exaggerated the health benefits of this product. The advertiser said the claim was over exaggerated, which is permitted in advertising. The ASA went to speak to doctors and nurses in a healthcare agency, who also said it was misleading

"Ribena Tooth Kind"

The advert claims that the Ribena is good for your teeth, they also said that the contents was all natural. The ASA said that the image was misleading because it showed bottles of Ribena used as the brittles of a toothbrush.

"Damart":
Envelope implies that individuals are in debt

Offensive ads:

"Antonio Federici":
1. Highly offensive to be gay in the catholic religion, shows a gay couple who are priests.
2. Mocked catholics. Pregnant nun, not allowed when you are a nun.

Junkies ltd:
Offensive to people with dyslexia or educational difficulties.

British Humanist Association:

Its offensive to people who follow a religion.

Department of health:

- Graphic
- Distressing
- Unsuitable for children to see.
